What is X% of Y?
X is what percentage of Y?
Percentage change from X to Y
Add or remove a percentage from a number
Divide X by 100 and multiply by Y. For example, 15% of 200 = (15/100) × 200 = 30.
Divide X by Y, then multiply by 100. For example, 45 out of 200 = (45/200) × 100 = 22.5%.
Subtract the original from the new value, divide by the original, then multiply by 100. Positive is an increase; negative is a decrease.
To add 20% to £250: multiply by 1.20 = £300. To remove 20% from £300: divide by 1.20 = £250.
